We all know we should be more active, actually doing it is a different thing! By
providing leisure centres, supporting voluntary clubs and groups, and developing partnerships with others
we want to get more people, more active, more often.
Our leisure centres
The Forest of Dean boasts five leisure centres conveniently situated in the five major
towns. All of the centres are managed and promoted by the Forest of Dean District Council.
The majority of public use takes place during evenings, weekends and school holidays. Some daytime
activity is available though, especially if you are looking to swim or use the well equipped fitness
suites at our Lydney, Coleford, Sedbury or Newent sites.
Activities
We try to offer balanced programmes that have something for everyone, no matter what your age, ability
or current activity level. The wide range of clubs and groups using our facilities and other leisure
providers in the district complement the activities we provide ourselves.
Whether it’s swimming or fitness, martial arts or golf you will probably be able to find
somewhere to enjoy your activity by using
My Sport
Why not get active and enjoy a healthier lifestyle!
You may like some additional information about our leisure services in general, or specifically about
one of the centres or their programmes and activities. Please feel free to make contact if you cannot
find what you are looking for on our pages. Equally we value your views, comments and suggestions on any
aspect of our service or the web pages in general.
